Introduction

You may view the Cleveland Event Center either on site or via our gallery online and see what we offer. We trust that you would like what you see and find our prices to be competitive, while comparing like-things with each other. Consider this: A rental charge that includes the cost of tables and chairs is not the same as a rental charge that does not include the cost of tables and chairs. Of course, there are additional factors to consider when comparing one venue with another, but I think you get the point.

Amenities

There is no charge for numerous amenities that are available: PA system with microphone and speakers; podium; projector screen (120”); television (70”) whose screen may be used for projecting pre-programmed recordings, photos and data from Renter’s laptop computer; HDMI cord; raised stage (10’X20’); Wi-Fi; circular and rectangle tables and chairs with cushion seats & backs; wedding chandelier; kitchen with an 18-shelf commercial food warmer, refrigerator, microwave oven, double sinks with hot and cold water, and lots of counter space; and separate, clean restrooms for women and men.   

Rental Fee or Charge

The Minimum fee or Charge for renting the Cleveland Event Center is $660. For this amount, Renter may use the venue for up to eight (8) hours. Sorry, there is no lesser charge for using the venue fewer than eight hours. Additional hours may be acquired at the rate of $80 per hour. Rental time is consecutive. That is, Renter is charged when Renter first begins decorating the facility, or delivering items into the facility until after the event is over and the venue has been cleaned and vacated in terms of persons and personal belongings, trash, garbage and boxes. An exception occurs when Renter uses the facility for multiple consecutive days. In which instance, Renter is charged from the time Renter, or anyone acting in behalf of Renter, gains entrance into the facility until Renter, Renter’s guest, caterer, D.J, etc., leaves the facility each day (or night), according to the contracted “Began” and “End” times stated in the contract,.

Security Deposit

A deposit of $200.00 shall be paid by Renter to Cleveland Event Center (CEC) to (1) reserve CEC for an event on a specific date and during a specified time; (2) to secure CEC against cancellation or other contractual breach by Renter; (3) to be used as a penalty if Renter, Renter’s guests or caterer, etc. leave the venue in an unclean condition, or break, damage or cause any item in and about the venue to be missing; and (4) to be used as a penalty if Renter or Renter’s guests, caterer, decorator, or D.J. do not vacate the facility with all their belongings by the contract “End Time”, or if trash, garbage and boxes are not properly removed from the venue premises.

Making The Reservation: You may reserve the Cleveland Event Center following the simple steps shown below:

1. Before determining the amount of time needed for your event, please confer with your decorator, caterer and other service personnel to figure out the amount of time that they would need before, during and after the event. This is essential in determining the Rental Fee. The Rental Fee does not have to be paid upon making the reservation, unless the reservation is made less than 30 days before the event date.

2. You may visit the Cleveland Event Center in person, or by a person that you trust to act for you. This person is called an “agent”. Your agent may make decisions and act for you, but you become responsible for the acts of the agent. You or your agent may reserve this venue by executing a rental contract, paying the Security Deposit and Rental Fee, and receiving a copy of the contract and receipt for payment.

Alternatively, you may download a rental contract from the Cleveland Event Center’s website online, fill the contract out, sign and forward or submit it along with the Security Deposit and Rental Fee, when paying both amounts. After we receive your contract and payment, an official at the Cleveland Event Center will look over your submissions. You would be contacted if there are questions. If your submissions are found to be in order, the official will sign the contract and mail a copy of it to you along with your receipt for payment.

Payment

You may pay via a cashier’s check, business check, personal check, money order, or cash when paying in person. Personal checks are not accepted if received less than thirty (30) days before the event. Payment should be paid as shown below.

Refund to Renter

CEC shall refund Renter the appropriate amount that is due within a few days after the event, if not the same day or night, after a CEC official ensures that the venue has been timely cleared of all guests, the decorator, caterer and D. J., together with all their belongings, and after all trash, garbage and boxes have been timely removed from the building and grounds of CEC.
